Barbara is a freelance writer, supported financially by a loving husband who
happens to have a paying job. She grew up on a small farm in Washington State but now lives in the mean "burbs" of Minnesota with her husband and their dogs, Rugby and Willow.
With her kids now pushed out of the nest and encouraged to fly,
Barbara spends time writing, collecting books, riding motorcycles with her husband, and attending critique group
and classes with writers that help to hone her craft.
Barbara is a member of the Minnesota Christian Writer's Guild and the Pacific Northwest Writer's Association.
She also attends a writer's conference each year. At the 2006 Pacific Northwest Writer's Conference she was a finalist in the mainstream novel category with "Time in a Bottle."
In 2007 she was again a finalist, but in the mystery/thriller category, with "Sense of Danger."
